October Donation Recipients 2024 - Rooster Haus Rescue & Rabbitats
Rooster Haus Rescue Rooster Haus Rescue, located near Fall City, WA, was founded in 2016 after an illegal cockfighting ring was busted by police and roughly 600 roosters were seized. All but 20 of them were killed. One of these frightened, abused, and mutilated roosters ended up with their founder, who saw how sweet & trusting he was despite years of abuse, and so began Rooster Haus Rescue. Rooster Haus Rescue gives neglected and abused farmed animals a safe future, free from harm, with a primary focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and giving permanent sanctuary to the underdogs: roosters and animals with special needs. Rooster Haus Rescue believes in ending all animal abuse and exploitation and follows a way of life guided by vegan principles.The sanctuary is now home to around one hundred animals including roosters, hens, ducks, turkeys, peafowl, pigeons, pheasants, fishes, dogs, and a cat.
