Founded in 1953, The Fur-Bearers is a non-partisan, registered Canadian charity that protects fur-bearing animals through conservation, advocacy, research, and education. Their campaigns address issues such as commercial and recreational trapping, the Canadian fur farm industry, and government policy that puts wildlife at risk. They provide solutions to protect wildlife and mitigate negative encounters in urban areas and offer free educational resources to communities across Canada and use the legal system to challenge the status quo treatment of animals.
