KUME [KOO-MEE] is designed and made by two sisters.

Immigrating from Korea to Canada from a young age, everything was new - except the deep fermented flavours served with every home-cooked meal.

As the two sisters got older, they became the ones cooking for friends. Their food was devoured. But when those friends went home, they weren't always sure how to bring those flavours into their own kitchens.

So they wondered: what if they made Korean ferments easier to use — not by diluting them, but by pairing them with familiar flavours people already know?

They reimagined gochujang into three ready-to-use sauces — designed to fit into whatever you're cooking. No rules. No right way. Just creativity in a squeeze pouch that you can take anywhere!

KUME (꾸미) comes from the Korean word meaning "to garnish" - to elevate food with flavour and presentation. That's exactly what they want you to do with your food.
