Promised Land Animal Sanctuary located in Trent Hill Ontario has provided care and permanent sanctuary to neglected, abused, homeless, older farmed and domestic animals (horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, donkeys, alpacas, goats, sheep, dogs and cats) since 2017. They promote a kind and compassionate lifestyle through humane education with a hope to re-establish and preserve the natural human-nonhuman person bond that exists in all of us as young children. Promised Land respects every resident as a unique individual and educates the public about kind and compassionate lifestyle choices through programs and sanctuary tours. Black Sheep Retreat is a high quality care sanctuary near Cancun that is currently home to 30 rescued animals, each one getting individual attention and care allowing their personalities to really open up and shine through. With only eight farm animal sanctuaries in the entire country of Mexico, Black Sheep Retreat aims to give a much needed home to an array of species rescued from slaughter or abusive and exploitative situations.
