Elephanatics

Elephanatics, formed in May 2012, is an elephant advocacy organization residing in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their mission is to help the long-term survival of African elephants by raising and disseminating information about their ecology and conservation in the face of the recent resurgence of continental-wide ivory poaching in Africa. They educate on issues of ivory poaching, habitat loss, human-elephant co-existence, the importance of the elephant as a keystone species, and connect Canadians directly with elephant conservation partners in Africa.
As an organization they strive to educate people through various mediums of outreach, have made numerous educational classroom presentations to primary & secondary schools and universities, and hold periodic fundraisers. Your donation will allow the continued work on domestic and global issues concerning the welfare of elephants.  To learn more please visit: https://elephanatics.org/

Because They Matter (with VHS)

Because They Matter is an annual event to raise funds for the VHS’s vital animal protection work, including life-saving veterinary care for animals living in low income homes, and sharing important resources for animals and their guardians who spend their days on the streets of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.  On Sunday July 21st, join the VHS team and local animal lovers to distribute supplies such as harnesses, dog and cat treats, leashes, and blankets to humans and their companion animals who spend their days on the streets. You will also have meaningful conversations with the people you meet about accessing veterinary care assistance through VHS’s McVitie Fund program. Unable to participate or not in town? Your donation towards this event will help animals all year round! To learn more please visit: https://vancouverhumanesociety.bc.ca/because-they-matter/
