AOOW is a UK-registered animal charity that operates the House of Strays rescue sanctuary in Siem Reap, dedicated to giving vulnerable animals a second chance. They provide rescue, rehabilitation, medical care, and lifelong support to animals who have experienced neglect, abandonment, injury, and hardship. Their work also extends into community support and education, helping create lasting positive change for both animals and people. Your donations will allow them to continue the vital work they do. Because They Matter - VHS
Because They Matter is a Vancouver Humane Society event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the protection and well-being of animals in our communities. This event brings together advocates, animal lovers, and changemakers to spotlight the importance of compassion, ethical treatment, and meaningful action for animals of all kinds. From powerful stories to community connection, Because They Matter inspires attendees to show up and make a difference, because every life has value. Your support goes toward life-saving emergency veterinary care for pets in need through the Vancouver Humane Society’s McVitie Fund.
