The Ass Menagerie Sanctuary 

 Founded by Leisa Miller in 2017 The Ass Menagerie Sanctuary, a rural 32-acre, century-old farm in Wainfleet, ON, is now a safe haven to 54 animals. Each one is a rescue, most with a difficult past. Some of them have ongoing issues – some are learning to trust humans again, and all have been promised forever sanctuary where they are treated as sentient beings deserving of not only sustenance and shelter but also love, health care, enrichment, companionship, and peace of mind. LAILO Sanctuary

Located in Lower Canard, NS, LAILO Sanctuary (Loving Animals Is Loving Ourselves) is a home for animals, a place for education, and a community for compassion. They are a sanctuary to as many rescued or surrendered farm animals as possible, while also finding suitable, loving homes for animals within the community. They offer limited visits to the sanctuary to help people learn to see the animals as individuals, rather than commodities. And they cultivate a community of like-minded and compassionate people that connect through volunteering at the sanctuary.
