Rabbit Rescue Inc, a no kill rescue in Southern Ontario, is dedicated to saving rabbits from abandonment, neglect, illness or injury, and inhumane conditions. Rabbit Rescue has been in operation for 25 years now and Canada, and have assisted shelters with larger urgent cases (i.e. hoarding situations, seizures, etc often with hundreds of rabbits at a time). Rabbit Rescue provides programs and services that educate the public regarding animal welfare and provides protection and adoption services to animals at risk of cruelty. Donations will help provide for the rabbits' ongoing needs and medical care such as spay/neuters, vaccines, and urgent medical treatment. October Donation Recipients 2024 - Rooster Haus Rescue & Rabbitats

Rooster Haus Rescue Rooster Haus Rescue, located near Fall City, WA, was founded in 2016 after an illegal cockfighting ring was busted by police and roughly 600 roosters were seized. All but 20 of them were killed. One of these frightened, abused, and mutilated roosters ended up with their founder, who saw how sweet & trusting he was despite years of abuse, and so began Rooster Haus Rescue. Rooster Haus Rescue gives neglected and abused farmed animals a safe future, free from harm, with a primary focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and giving permanent sanctuary to the underdogs: roosters and animals with special needs. Rooster Haus Rescue believes in ending all animal abuse and exploitation and follows a way of life guided by vegan principles.The sanctuary is now home to around one hundred animals including roosters, hens, ducks, turkeys, peafowl, pigeons, pheasants, fishes, dogs, and a cat. Elephanatics Elephanatics, formed in May 2012, is an elephant advocacy organization residing in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their mission is to help the long-term survival of African elephants by raising and disseminating information about their ecology and conservation in the face of the recent resurgence of continental-wide ivory poaching in Africa. They educate on issues of ivory poaching, habitat loss, human-elephant co-existence, the importance of the elephant as a keystone species, and connect Canadians directly with elephant conservation partners in Africa.  As an organization they strive to educate people through various mediums of outreach, have made numerous educational classroom presentations to primary & secondary schools and universities, and hold periodic fundraisers.
